A fine cover front sent from Toronto, ON to Guelph on October 10, 1860. Franked with a fine centered single of the 5c brick red Beaver, perf. 11.75. The stamp is cancelled with a smudgy grid, but not tied. It is creased, because the letter got folded at some point. It was originally a folded letter, but it has come apart along the folds, and is now in three pieces. Red straight line "registered" handstamp, which would induicate that the registry fee was unpaid, but it was later paid and the word "paid" was written accross in pencil. Net est. $20.
