A group of 6 50p booklets, each containing a pane of 8 or 6 Machins. The panes of 6 contain the 1/2p, 1p, 11.5p and 14p values, while the panes of 8 contain the 2.5p, 4p and 11.5p values. The stamps are arranged alternatively with haLF the booklets having the high values on one side and haLF having them on the other. All panes are tagged with 2 side phosphor bands. The tabs of the first Mugdock Castle booklets are blank, while the others all show remnants of the cutting guidemarks. The covers are generally HB under UV. The panes of 8 are HF/HF or HB/HF, while the panes of 6 are HF/LF.
