Lot 311 Canada #90var 2c Carmine Rose King Edward VII, 1903-1911 King Edward VII Issue, A VG Used Single With Re-Entry At Lower Left, Similar To Trimble's #1 Normal Re-Entry, Small Faults
A VG used single of the 2c carmine rose King Edward VII from the 1903-1911 King Edward VII Issue with re-entry at lower left, similar to trimble's #1 normal re-entry, small faults. This is nearly identical to the first re-entry that Trimble's website www.reentries.com shows as #1 in the normal re-entries section, except that it lacks the doubling in the lower right spandrel. The stamps is fine appearing, bit has both a diagonal crease and a thin, but is a nice example of a twist re-entry at lower left.
Unitrade does list this re-entry, but our estimate of the value, based on the scarcity and condition is $5. The stamp offered here grades 58 as follows:
Centering/Margins: 40/60
Paper Freshness: 5/5
Colour: 5/5
Impression: 5/5
Absence of Visible Paper Flaws: 5/5
Perforations: 10/10
Cancellation: 8/10
Adjustment for mentioned faults: -20 points.
