Lot 31 Canada #241a, 235 5c Deep Blue King George VI and 10c Carmine Rose Memorial Chamber, 1937-1942 Mufti Issue, Combination Usage on Censored 1940 3/4 OZ Airmail Cover to Colombia

A scarce and attractive censored 75c airmail cover to Colombia, sent from Oakville, ON in December 1940. Franked with 4 x 10c Carmine Rose Memorial chamber and 7 x 5c deep blue Mufti Issue stamps, paying the 75c rate for three quarters of an ounce. The actual rate for Colombia, as part of the Northern Rate Group for the South American Countries was 25c per quarter ounce. There are two horizontal creases that do not affect the stamps, but these detract little from this scarce and desirable rate cover. Est. $60.
