8 VF philatelic service new issue brochures of the multicoloured from the 1988 St. John's - Frances Ann Hopkins Issues showing the revised design, all of the issues from july-november 1988. The two designs were used from 1984 until well after 1986. This group consists of 5 of the first 6 new issue brochures that appeared for the year. On the first design, the old Canada Post Logo appears at the top, with 2 lines of text, followed by the philatelic service logo in 2 lines of text, followed by "Commemorative Stamp Bulletin" on 3 lines of text. In the revised design, there are only 2 lines of text for "Commemorative Stamp Bulletin". Also, the old CPC logo has been dropped, and the logo for the Philatelic Service appears at the top of the brochure instead. The text alternates between English and French, and these brochures contain important information such as withdrawal dates, the fact that the plates were withdrawn at different times for definitives, and the fact that some issues did sell out. This is invaluable as a reference when putting together a comprehensive exhibit of this material.
