Franked with three copies of the 2d Enschede printing, the 3d NSP&M printing with small imprint, and three copies of the NSP&M 1/-, paying the 3/- airmail rate, plus 9d registration fee. The stamps are tied by clear strikes of unlisted Lagos 15, 461 CDS cancel.
The Lagos cancellation is very common and has no premium value. The cover value to a common destination is approximately $20 applying Gibbons’ prescribed multiplier of 2 to the Scott value of $10.25 for the sound stamps off cover. Finland is a scarcer European destination. So, we estimate the value of the cover, based on the franking, destination and rate to be $25.
