Specialized used set of the Russian zone overprints on the 1946 definitive issue with 2-5 shade variations of most values. Selected for centering and cancels. The 1946 definitives, which were overprinted to produce these issues, can be found in a wide variety of shades, and the gum can be found both with vertical ribbing and without the ribbing. Scott does not distinguish between these variations, but we have made separate lots of these varieties and have valued them using the basic catalogue prices.
