A VFNH upper right inscription block of the 8c skaters stamp from the 1974 Christmas Issue on the scarcer MF/MF paper. Most of these stamps are printed on paper that is either HF or HB on the back.

The 1974 Christmas issue can be found on paper that gives different fluorescent reactions on both the front and back. On the front, the fluorescence varies from LF to HF. On the back, most stamps appear anywhere from MF6 to HB9, with the fluorescence usually appearing mottled. All values exhibit shade variations, which can be in the main design, or the colour of the inscription letters.
