A VF used single of the 5c slate green Queen Victoria from the 1870-1897 Small Queen Issue. With SON large barred grid cancel, perfectly centered, Montreal printing, perf. 12. A beautifully centered and attractive example with a centrally placed barred grid cancel with the very wide bars that has been struck just heavily enough to be crisp, but not so heavy as to deface the stamp. One of the nicest 5c Small Queen Montreals I have seen in a long time.
