4 VG & fine used singles of the 5d dull purple & ultramarine King Edward VII from the 1902-1910 De La Rue Keyplate Issue with Imperial Crown watermark, ordinary & chalk surfaced papers, perf. 14, including 4 different paper/shade combinations. This group includes the dull purple & ultramarine on ordinary paper, the same shade on chalk surfaced paper, the slate purple & ultramarine on chalk surfaced paper and the Somerset House printing in deep dull reddish purple and bright blue, on ordinary paper. Typical centering and cancels for these, but good reference examples until you find those elusive light cancels, or mint examples. The chalky dull purple and ultramarine is a private perfin.
