Lot 227 Canada #37 3c Queen Victoria, 1870-1897 Small Queen Issue, Three Fine Single Franking Covers, Franked With Montreal Printings, Different Shades

Three fine covers, one from Montreal, dated October 27th 1883 to Uxbridge, one from Saint John, NB dated April 4th 1881 to Concord, NB and one from Ottawa, dated December 20th 1883 to Toronto, all franked with the 3c orange red Small Queen stamps from the Montreal printing for drop letter rates. The backstamps show that the letters arrived on October 29th, April 5th and December 20th, respectively. A minor tear in the top center of the Montreal cover and some small wedges cut into the lower right hand side. Unitrade values these covers at $36.
