10 fine Uued singles of the 1/2c, 1c, 2c black, yellow, red orange, green & blue green Queen Victoria from the 1870-1897 Small Queen Issue. All different papers and shades, Montreal and 2nd Ottawa printings, .. Starts with a Montreal printing of the 1/2c black, and then an early first Ottawa printing of the 1c in red orange, on thin, soft, horizontal wove paper. This is followed by two Montreal printings of the 1c, with one being in a full yellow shade and another in a acidic lemon yellow shade. The full yellow is on vertical stout wove, while the lemon yellow is on a softer opaque horizontal wove similar to the early 2nd Ottawa paper. Then, the last 1c yellows are 2nd Ottawa printings, both on the soft, poor quality opaque papers, with one slightly thinner than the other, and both printed in bright yellow. The 2c greens are all Montreal printings, with a blue green on vertical stout wove, a deep bluish green on soft vertical wove, a green on opaque, stout and smooth horizontal wove and a paler green on horizontal wove with clear mesh.
