The 25c booklets listed under BK69 in Unitrade are tremendously complex. Unitrade lists the basic differences between the fluorescence of the panes, the tagging and the clear versus black sealing strips, as well as the different cover designs. However, there are a number of characteristics that they completely ignore, and which add considerable complexity to the booklets. The first is the vertical ribbed versus smooth paper used for the booklet panes. For most grades of fluorescence, both can be found. McCann lists many of these, but not all. The second attribute is the fine versus coarse printing on the covers. McCann lists these for the grey/slate covered booklets, but not for those with the designs, even through they exist in fine and coarse versions as well. The third attribute has to do with the appearance of the stock used for the covers themselves. There appears to be three different types: (1) a stock that is rough outside and smooth on the inside; (2) a stock that is rough on the outside and horizontally ribbed on the inside; (3) a stock that is dimpled on the outside and horizontally ribbed on the inside and finally (4) a stock that is dimpled on the outside and smooth inside. A fourth attribute is the setting of the pane. Three settings exist: A, B and C.

The settings have to do with where the lower right corner of the 1c on position 2/2 of the booklet is positioned relative to the upper left corner of the 8c stamp at position 3/2. Setting A has the corner of the 1c placed well to the right of the UL corner of the 8c stamp. On setting C, the corner of the 1c is still to the right of the 8c, but only lust barely. On setting C, the LL corner of the 1c stamp is to the left of the UL corner of the 8c. In our descriptions we include all the McCann listed detail, but we have ignored coarse/fine cover distinctions on the type III covers, settings of the pane, unless already identified.
