A fine NH example of the 1/2c black Queen Victoria from the 1897 Diamond Jubilee Issue, printed in the grey black shade on toned paper, and showing a dot inside the "R", with no accompanying plate scratch, as was visible on the other lots. The dot is a plate position dot, which is found on several positons on the sheet, but the other example we offer in the sale also shows a vertical scratch through the "R", which this one does not have. There is a natural gum bend near the top.
Unitrade values the normal stamp at $60. The stamp offered here grades 65 as follows:
