Lot 156 Canada #2898 2015 $5 Cloth Flag Issue, a Scarce Commercial Usage on Returned March 2015 Registered Cover

A VF local registered cover, sent on March 19, 2015, and franked with a single of the $5 cloth flag stamp, plus a machine label of $6.95, paying the $11.95 registered rate. A lovely commercial usage of this high value stamp, used within a month of issue. The cover was returned to sender, re-mailed and subsequently reached me a few weeks later.

Unitrade does not list post 1947 commercial covers separately, though they do state that single frankings to foreign destinations are worth $10-$15 each. Our estimate of the value of this cover is $25. The cover offered here is very fine.
