A fine domestic cover, sent from the Barriefield military camp in Ontario to an address in Ontario in Bromley Line. According to notes made by the owner this camp was established as a military base at the outbreak of the first world war in 1914 on the East bank of the river opposite the city of Kingston in the village of Barriefield. It was a training camp for the 21st battalion of the Canadian Expeditionary Force. A scarce and unusual cancel. Net estimated value is $25. some edge tearing along the top of the cover but fine overall.
