Canada #789T5 17c Green And Black Queen Elizabeth II, 1977-1982 Floral & Environment Issue, A Very Fine Used Pair on Piece, With G2aL1-Bar Tag Error on Right Stamp, DF Paper and Mottled Background

A very fine used pair on piece of the 17c green, grey and black Queen Elizabeth II stamp from the 1977-1982 Floral & Environmental issue, showing a G2aL 1-bar tagging error on the right stamp, with one very thin single band at left. Printed on DF paper, with mottled background.

In addition the tagging bar between the two stamps is weak and uneven compared to the left band of the left stamp which is normal strength.

The Queen Elizabeth stamps of this series can be found printed with background colours that appear more or less even and solid, and with colours that appear mottled. Again this is not listed in Unitrade, but in my view it is a very collectible difference.

The Adminware database values this stamp at $10 for fine used. The pair offered here grades 75 as follows:

    Margins/centering: 40/60

    Paper freshness: 5/5

    Color: 5/5

    Impression: 5/5

Absence of visible paper flaws: 5/5

    Perforations: 10/10

    Cancellation: 5/10
