Canada #730T7 14c Bright Red Parliament Buildings, 1977-1982 Floral & Environment Issue, a Fine Used Coil Single Showing the G2aL and G2aR Tagging Errors, on LF-fl Paper With Light Tagging

A fine used coil single of the 14c bright red parliament buildings stamp from the 1977-1982 Floral & Environmental issue, showing the G2aL and G2aR tagging errors on the same stamp, with a only 12 mm of spacing between the tagging bars, rather than the usual 16 mm. Printed on LF-fl paper and with light tagging.

Although not specifically mentioned in Unitrade, the parliament stamps are found with three distinct tagging strengths:

  • invisible, where the stamp appears to be untagged.
  • light tagging, where the tagging bars appear visible but not dark, being a light yellowish cream.
  • dark tagging, in which the bands appear deep brownish yellow, and are very obvious on the stamps.

The Adminware database values this stamp at $10 for fine used. A VFNH pair on NF-fl paper is included so you can see the difference between the spacing. The stamp offered here grades 68 as follows:

Paper freshness: 5/5
