Canada #717T1 15c Multicoloured Trembling Aspen, 1977-1982 Floral & Environment Issue, a Fine Mint NH Single on DF/DF Paper With G2aL 1-Bar Tagging Error and Winter Leaves Variety

A fine mint NH example of the 15c multicoloured Trembling Aspen stamp from the 1977-1982 Floral & Environmental issue, printed on DF/DF paper, showing a G2aL 1-bar tagging error. The stamp has a mottled background. In addition, this stamp shows a "winter leaves" variety resulting from a downward shift of the black engraving, in a manner similar to the same variety, which Unitrade mentions on the 30c.

The paper is DF/DF.

The medium value tree stamps of this issue can be found with background colours that appear solid and dotted under magnification, and with backgrounds that appear mottled. This is not mentioned in Unitrade, but I consider this to be a collectible difference.

The Adminware tagging database lists this error at $30 for very fine NH mint, so a fine NH example like this should be worth approximately $20.

The stamp offered here grades 70 as follows:

Margins/centering: 40/70

Paper freshness: 5/5

Colour: 5/5

Impression: 5/5

Absence of visible paper flaws: 5/5

Perforations: 10/10
