1942-1949 War Issue, June 1945 registered cover to Atlantic City, NJ, franked with 2 x 2c brown and 10c brown paying the 14c Registered rate. Sent from Montreal on June 2, 1945. Marked "Passed for Export" in violet across the face. The 14c rate has been paid with two 2c stamps and a 10c stamp, instead of a single 14c, which would have been the more common way to pay the rate. Montreal and Atlantic City backstamps.

The stamps are tied by indistinct strikes of Palace D' Armes, Montreal CDS cancels, with the 10c not being tied. The cover offered here grades F-68 as follows:
