Canada #195d (SG#319) 1c Myrtle Green 1932-35 Medallion Issue Yellowish Cream Gum Flat Plate Printing VF-84 NH
A very well centered and very fine mint NH single of the 1c myrtle green King George V bas-relief flat plate stamp from the 1932-35 Medallion Issue. Vertical wove paper with no visible mesh and yellowish cream gum with a glossy sheen, suggesting that it is from a printing made sometime in 1933. Unitrade values a VF-75 NH single at $12.00. However, examples that are this well centered are difficult to find and are worth more than the Unitrade price for VF. The stamp offered here grades VF-84 NH as follows:
Margins/centering: 54/70
Paper freshness: 5/5
Colour: 5/5
Impression: 5/5
Absence of visible paper flaws: 5/5
Perforations: 10/10
Note any vertical or horizontal line shown in the scan is the edge of the acetate strip that the stamp was resting inside on the stockcard.
