Canada #587viii (SG#694) 2c Dull Green Laurier 1972-1978 Caricature Issue Booklet Stamps 3 Different Papers VF-75 NH

Three very fine NH top and bottom row booklet singles of the 2c dull green Sir Wilfred Laurier stamp from the 1973-1977 Caricature Issue. Printed on vertical wove paper showing no ribbing on either the front, or the back. General OP-2 Ottawa tagging, 4 mm wide, of light strength (barely visible to the naked eye), and glowing a bright greenish yellow under ultraviolet light, and having a mottled appearance. Comb perforated 12.0 x 12.5. Smooth, white PVA gum with a satin sheen. The paper gives different reactions under UV light as follows:

• a dull fluorescent greyish white reaction on the face and the back, with very few low fluorescent fibres visible in the paper on the back. This is a top row single.
• a dull fluorescent blue grey reaction on the front, and a dull fluorescent greyish blue reaction on the back, with low density concentrations of dull and low fluorescent fibres, a sparse concentration of medium fluorescent fibres, and very few high fluorescent fibres visible in the paper on the back.
• a dull fluorescent greyish reaction on the face and back, with a sparse concentration of low fluorescent fibres, a very sparse concentration of medium fluorescent fibres, and 1-2 high fluorescent fibres.

Unitrade values three VF-75 NH singles at $0.75, and does not specify a paper fluorescence. I have found over 11 different paper types, of which these three stamps represent three varieties. The stamps offered here grade 75 as follows: Margins/centering: 45/70 Paper freshness: 5/5 Colour: 5/5 Impression: 5/5 Absence of visible paper flaws: 5/5 Perforations: 10/10 Note: the above scan is a stock photo as are all my scans for material after 1952.
