Canada #544 (SG#610) 1971 8c Slate Centennial Issue Rose CPC First Day Cover SUP-98

A superb example of the 8c slate 1971 Centennial Issue Official Canada Post First Day Cover, with a pair. Slate Canada Post Cachet. The envelope is on stock giving a non fluorescent light violet reaction under ultraviolet light, while the stamps are printed on paper giving a low fluorescent greyish white reaction under ultraviolet light. The stamps are tied by a crisp strike of an Ottawa straight line first day cancel. The cover offered here grades SUP-98 as follows:
