Canada #473ii (SG#615) 5c 1967 Canadian Press Issue, NF Violet Paper, Smooth Cream Gum VF-84 NH

A very well centered and very fine mint NH single of the 5c violet blue 1967 Canadian Press Issue, on dead paper. Line perf. 11.85 x 11.85. Vertical wove paper with no ribbing or visible mesh. Smooth cream DEX gum that has a semi-gloss sheen. Under ultraviolet light, the paper gives a non fluorescent violet reaction, with no fluorescent fibres being visible in the paper. This is one of two variations of the NF paper that I have seen. Unitrade values a VF-75 NH single at $2.00. The stamp offered here grades VF-84 NH as follows: Margins/centering: 54/70 Paper freshness: 5/5 Colour: 5/5 Impression: 5/5 Absence of visible paper flaws: 5/5 Perforations: 10/10 Note any vertical or horizontal line shown in the scan is the edge of the acetate strip that the stamp was resting inside on the stockcard.
