Canada #471 (SG#613) 5c 1967 Royal Visit DFLV Paper, Eggshell Cream Gum Plate 2 LL VF-80 NH

A well centered and very fine mint NH lower left plate 2 block of the 5c brown orange and purple 1967 Royal Visit Issue. Line perf. 11.85 x 11.95. Horizontal wove paper with no ribbing, or visible mesh, and streaky cream DEX gum with an eggshell sheen. Under ultraviolet light, the paper gives a dull fluorescent light violet reaction, with no fluorescent fibres being visible in the paper. Unitrade values a VF-75 NH block on the normal dull paper at $1.75. This is one of the more common variations of the dull paper. The block offered here grades VF-80 NH as follows: Margins/centering: 50/70 Paper freshness: 5/5 Colour: 5/5 Impression: 5/5 Absence of visible paper flaws: 5/5 Perforations: 10/10 Note any vertical or horizontal line shown in the scan is the edge of the acetate strip that the stamp was resting inside on the stockcard.
