Canada #461 (SG#584) 8c Deep Purple Brown 1967-73 Centennial 3 Papers Group 4 VF-80 NH

Three very fine mint NH singles of the 8c deep brown purple Alaska Highway stamp from the 1967-1973 Centennial Issue, each on a different paper:

• dull fluorescent greyish ivory reaction under UV, with no fluorescent fibres visible, and on horizontal wove paper with no visible mesh or ribbing and streaky creamy dextrose gum having a satin sheen.
• dull fluorescent greyish reaction under UV and no fluorescent fibres visible in the paper. The paper is horizontal wove with no visible mesh or ribbing. The gum is smooth creamy dextrose having a satin sheen.
• dull fluorescent greyish reaction under UV, with no fluorescent fibres visible in the paper. The paper is horizontal wove with no visible mesh, or ribbing. The gum is streaky creamy dextrose having a satin sheen.

The ink colours under UV are the same as in normal light. Unitrade values three VF-75 NH singles at $1.05. The stamps offered here grade VF-75 NH as follows: Margins/centering: 45/70 Paper freshness: 5/5 Colour: 5/5 Impression: 5/5 Absence of visible paper flaws: 5/5 Perforations: 10/10 Note any vertical or horizontal line shown in the scan is the edge of the acetate strip that the stamp was resting inside on the stockcard.
