Canada #428-429 (SG#553-554) 5c Northwest Territories and Yukon 1964-1966 Provincial Emblems Issue Art Craft First Day Cover XF-91

An extremely fine example of the 5c Northwest Territories Mountain Avens stamp and the 5c Yukon Fireweed stamp from the 1964-1966 Provincial Emblems Issue Combination First Day Cover. Black and white Art Craft cachet depicting a maple leaf and industry. The envelope is on stock giving a dull fluorescent light violet reaction, with a low density concentration of medium fluorescent fibres visible in the paper, while the stamps are printed on paper giving a dull fluorescent greyish reaction under ultraviolet light. The stamps are tied by a crisp strike of an Ottawa wavy line first day cancel. The cover offered here grades XF-91 as follows:
