Canada #413 (SG#538) 1963 5c Overland Mail Route Issue Plain First Day Cover, McCreary, Sask XF-91

An extremely fine example of the 5c dark green and lake brown 1963 First Overland Mail Route Issue First Day Cover. No cachet. The envelope is on stock that gives a dull fluorescent light violet reaction under ultraviolet light, with a low density concentration of low fluorescent fibres visible in the paper, while the stamp is printed on paper giving a dull fluorescent greyish reaction under ultraviolet light. The stamp is tied by a crisp strike of a September 25, 1963 McCreary, Sask CDS cancel. The cover offered here grades XF-91 as follows:
