Canada #400 (SG#526) 1962 5c Trans-Canada Highway Issue Rose Craft First Day Cover VF-78

A very fine example of the 5c brown orange and black 1962 Trans-Canada Highway Issue First Day Cover, with a block of 4. Black and white Rose Craft cachet depicting the Pembina Clover Leaf and the memorial at Rogers Pass. The envelope is on highbrite stock, while the stamp is printed on paper giving a dull fluorescent greyish reaction under ultraviolet light. The stamp is tied by a crisp strike of an Ottawa wavy line first day cancel. The cover offered here grades VF-78 as follows:
