A well centered and post office fresh NH example of this value from the Peace Issue. This stamp is printed on soft wove paper with no distinct mesh and cream gum. The shade of this stamp is redder than the normal red-violet shade. This is probably from one of the later printings made after 1949. I include scans of some shades seen on other examples of the $1.
