A nearly perfectly centered and extremely fine mint LH single of the 13c deep reddish violet Old Quebec Citadel stamp from the 1932-35 Medallion Issue. Vertical wove paper with coarse vertical mesh and brownish yellow gum with a satin sheen, suggesting that it is from a printing made sometime between 1932-1933. Unitrade values a VF-75 OG single at $80. However, examples that are this well centered are seldom seen, and warrant a significant premium over the Unitrade price for VF. The stamp offered here grades XF-94 LH as follows: Margins/centering: 64/70 Paper freshness: 5/5 Colour: 5/5 Impression: 5/5 Absence of visible paper flaws: 5/5 Perforations: 10/10 Note any vertical or horizontal line shown in the scan is the edge of the acetate strip that the stamp was resting inside on the stockcard.
