4 VFNH booklet singles of the 38c-40c multicoloured Canadian Flag from the 1987-1991 Mammal & Architecture Issue. The quick-stick stamps, including smooth & ribbed paper on the 39c. These are Canada's first seLF-adhesive stamps. The stamps are printed on Slater paperm while the backing paper, which serves as the cover of the booklet is Fasson paper. The Slater paper on the 38c and 39c exists both smooth and with visible horizontal ribbing, but it appears that from the 40c onwards to the 43c of the next issue, it is always smooth. This lot includes both types of the 39c.
