Canada #593ii,iv (SG#700) 8c Ultramarine Queen Elizabeth II 1972-1978 Caricature Issue DF, & LF Ribbed Paper Types 2, 2 & 4 VF-75 NH

Three very fine NH singles of the 8c ultramarine Queen Elizabeth II stamp from the 1973-1977 Caricature Issue, each printed on a different paper. General OP-2 Ottawa tagging, 4 mm wide, of very weak strength (almost invisible to the naked eye) and glowing a bright yellow under ultraviolet light. The paper gives different reactions under UV light:

• One stamp is on horizontal ribbed vertical wove paper, giving a dull fluorescent greyish white reaction on the front, and a dull fluorescent greyish white reaction on the back, with a low density concentration of low fluorescent fibres, and very few brownish woodpulp fibres, visible in the paper. The tagging is azure in colour in normal light.
• One stamp is on horizontal ribbed vertical wove paper, and gives a dull fluorescent greyish white reaction on the face, with a medium density concentration of low fluorescent fibres, and very few brownish woodpulp fibres visible in the paper. On the back, the paper gives a dull fluorescent greyish reaction, with a medium density concentration of low fluorescent fibres, visible in the paper.
• One stamp is on horizontal ribbed vertical wove paper, and gives a dull fluorescent blue grey reaction on the front and back, with a low density concentration of low fluorescent fibres, and a sparse concentration of brownish woodpulp fibres visible in the paper. The tagging is azure coloured in normal light.

Comb perforated 12.0 x 12.5. Unitrade values three VF-75 NH singles at $1.05.
