Newfoundland #188 (SG#212) 4c Deep Reddish Lilac Prince of Wales 1932-37 Resources Issue F-70 OG
A fine OG example of the 4c deep reddish lilac Prince of Wales (King Edward VIII) stamp from the 1932-1937 Resources definitive Issue. Printed on vertical wove paper, showing no obvious mesh, and with smooth cream gum that has a semi-gloss sheen. Comb perforated 13.6 x 13.4. The comparison sca in "more images" shows the subtle difference between the two shades in which this stamp is found: blackish lilac and deep reddish lilac. Unitrade values a F-65 OG single at $5. The stamp offered here grades 70 as follows:
