Canada 1897 Specialty Album for the Diamond Jubilee Issue, Produced by James Hope & Sons
A lovely leather bound album specially made by James Hope and Sons of Ottawa, for the 1897 Diamond Jubilee Issue. The album is bound in a black leather cover with gold lettering. There are five pages in the album, and all of them contain gold borders around each stamp. The first four are for mounting single stamps and there is room for 24 stamps, even though the set only has 16. The last page contains one large space in which you could mount a larger block. So you could mount one full set with additional shade varieties and a block and could always add second examples on the facing pages. A lovely opportunity for the Jubilee collector who has everything.
