Canada #317 4c Grey Blue and Dark Red 1952 Red Cross Conference Complete Plate 2 Upper Right Sheet of 50, Perf. 11.9 x 12, Very Fine Mint NH
A well centered and fresh mint sheet of the 1952 Red Cross Conference Issue, from the upper right position of plate 2. Line perf. 11.9 x 12 and printed on smooth, vertical wove paper that shows very light horizontal mesh and yellow gum. There is small vertical perf separation in the upper selvage only between positions 3 and 4. Red and Blue vertical cutting guidelines are visible in the selvage at the upper left and lower right corners of the sheet, from where the printer's sheet of 200 was guillotined into 4 post office panes of 50. It is unusual to get a sheet that shows traces of the cutting guidelines in two corners, as the intention was for the guillotine to split the lines, making them invisible on the finished product. Unitrade value of 46 singles and 1 plate block is $15.55.
