Canada #329/364 5c Ultramarine - 5c Olive Grey & Vermilion, Queen Elizabeth II, Dove & House on Fire, 1953-54 Karsh Issue & 1954-56 Commemoratives, Three 15c Airmail Covers to Denmark, Various Frankings, All Sent Between 1954-1956

A very fine group of 3 15c airmail covers to Denmark, all sent between 1954 and 1956, and each franked with a different combination of stamps.

Unusual because:

  • One cover has the colour Husky Alaska Highway cachet and is fraked with three ICAO stamps.
  • One cover is franked with a combination of 5c Beaver stamps and a 5c Karsh. The beavers were used within 3 weeks of issuance.
  • One cover is paid entirely with a strip of 3 Fire Prevention stamps.

Our estimate of the value of these covers based on the above factors is $15. To understand how we have assessed the covers and arrived at this estimate and to gain a broader understanding of postal history collecting, I would suggest you read the article linked here. It should clarify the factors that make covers, and this one in particular scarce, and will help you to understand why we have estimated it at this amount.
