Canada #144 5c Violet Laurier 1927 Confederation Issue Used on 1928 First Flight Cover
A very fine cover sent from Toronto, ON on August 29, 1928 to Goshen, IN. The 5c airmail rate has been paid with a single 5c violet Laurier stamp from the 1927 Confederation Issue, that is tied by a Canadian National Exhibition slogan cancel. Hamilton August 29 slogan transit backstamp. Purple Golden Jubilee Flight CNE handstamped cachet. Unitrade does not value this on a first flight cover, but a reasonable value based on my research of similar covers would be $10.
