Canada #1349ii/1355 1992-1998 Fruit and Flag Definitive Issue A Selection of Corner Plate Inscription Blocks and Pairs
A nice VFNH group of 12 corner inscription blocks and 2 corner pairs, which will help you learn how to identify the different printings on single stamps. All of these printings are confusing because most all are on Coated Papers Paper, except for the CBN printings on Harrison paper, which are relatively easy to identify. In this lot, the Ashton Potter Limited printings are represented with the 2c, 5c, 6c, 10c and 25c. If you look at all of these at an angle to a good light source and glance downward, you can see very faint ribbing running vertically. This is present on all the APL printings. The CBN printings are represented with the 2c, 3c, 5c and 6c, while the APC printings are represented by the 1c, 2c, 3c, 5c and 10c. Telling the CBN and APC printings apart is very difficult, but the CP paper on the APC printings feels ever so slightly thinner than it does on the CBN printings. Also, the red ink is slightly darker on the CBN printings, the green of the hills is slightly more yellowish on the APC printings. The dark purple of the blueberries is more bluish on the APC printings and more towards purple on the CBN stamps. All blocks grade VF-84. Unitrade values these at $16.
