A fine regummed mint example of the 3c copper red Queen Victoria stamp from the 1870-1897 Small Queen Issue. This stamp has been expertly regummed. It is perf. 12 and is printed on stout horizontal wove paper. This is the copper red shade, which is similar to the Indian red, but with a deeper reddish tone to the shade. Both shades come from the first printings made in 1870. Unitrade values this at $1,000 for fine OG, so unused should be worth approximately $500. The stamp offered here grades 68 as follows:
