SKU Lot10

A very fine mint OG example of the 2c deep rose red King George V stamp from the 1911-1928 Admiral Issue. This is a straight-edged example from the right side of one of the left panes. These are becoming hard to find, especially well centered, as they are often re-perforated to satisfy the demand for very fine stamps perforated all around. Unitrade values this at $50. The scan shows a vertical mark in the gum at the top, but this is just a natural variation in the strength of the gum, and in the flesh the gum appears post office fresh and pristine. The stamp offered here grades 84 as follows:

Centering/margins: 54/70
Paper freshness: 5/5
Colour: 5/5
Impression: 5/5
Absence of visible paper flaws: 5/5
Perforations: 10/10
