Lot 8 Canada #105f, 110d, 114, 143 1c Yellow Orange - 7c Red Brown King George V, 1911 - 1928 Admiral Issue, A Fine Registered Cover to Finland Franked With 1c, 4c and 7c Dry Printings and 3c Confederation, 14c Rate

A fine registered cover, sent from Trois Rivieres, QC on October 12, 1928, to Finland, and sent at the 14c rate, being 4c postage to Europe and 10c registration. The postage has been paid with singles of each of the 7c and 4c Admiral dry printings, a single 3c Confederation issue and a block of 4 of the 1c orange yellow, die 1 dry printing. Nice purple oval Department of Health handstamp for U.L Gingras of the Three Rivers District, and October 31, 1928 Vilpuri arrival backstamp. The lower left stamp in the block has a corner crease, from not adhering properly to the envelope, and the 3c Confederation is also affected by a small diagonal crease. Still, a very attractive combination usage. Net Est. $40.
