Lot 41 - Pristine Schaubeck Hingeless Canada Album - 1851 to 1973
A lightly used burgundy Schaubeck hingeless album for Canada, with clear mounts and covering all the basic issues of the country to 1973. The first pence issue is simplified, with spaces for only 1 paper type on the first page, but then there is a second page behind it where you can put other shade or paper varieties. Large and Small Queens are together on one page, but then again there are two supplementary pages behind it where you can put the perf. 11.5 x 12 printings and second Ottawa printings. The Admirals are split into their two respective sets on separate pages, and then there are spaces for all the coil singles and imperforate singles, whereas the 2c Edward imperforate was included as a pair. Die types are not included for any of the issues as far as I can see. Se-tenant issues are shown as the horizontal se-tenant pairs or blocks, as the case may be. Basic Winnipeg and Ottawa tags are included for all definitive and commemorative issues. An ideal album for a collector looking for a basic Canada hingeless album. Est. $25-$30.
Please note that for bulky items we will be charging actual shipping cost, rather than the usual first class letter rate. We would be happy to supply estimates of what the shipping cost will be if you tell us which items you are planning to bid on. Usually, we bill the estimate and then either refund or re-bill the difference after we return from the post office. Generally Canada Post's rates are most expensive for parcels between 3 pounds and about 15 pounds. Once you go above 15 pounds up to the 70 pound maximum, the price levels off at between $50-$75 within Canada, whereas a parcel that weighs 3 pounds can be $25. So the more you buy the cheaper the shipping gets on a per item basis. So, if you need supplies this may be the time to stock up at bargain prices.
