The Caricature low value stamps are a complex field of study. Unitrade has listed some, but not all of the paper fluorescence varieties that can be found. These are the first stamps in which the front fluorescence often differs from the back. In addition to these variations there are also variations in the shades, paper thickness and texture, as well as the colour of the paper (off-white, bright white and toned), the appearance of the tagging (invisible, light azure, light yellow, moderate yellow and dark yellow), and finally the appearance of the gum (satin PVA, semi-gloss PVA and eggsheel PVA). While Unitrade does not list any of these variations we describe them fully here.
