2 VGOG & VFOG singles of the 50c violet & deep violet Munitions Factory from the 1942-1949 War Issue two different shades, papers & gums, paler shade appears vf, but has diagonal crease. The violet shade is on soft, vertical wove paper with clear vertical mesh and semi-gloss cream gum. It has a diagonal crease, which is just visible from the front, and therefore the grade is lowered from VF to VG. The deeper violet shade is on crisp, vertical wove paper, with light horizontal mesh on the back, and satin cream gum.
