Lot 360 1988 and 1990 Snowbird Commemorative Postcards, Two VF Examples

Two VF postcards commemorating the Snowbirds. The first of these is a postcard issued for the opening of the National Aviation Museum in Rockcliffe Ontario. It is addressed to the Air Demonstration Squadron at CFB Moose Jaw. It bears three cancellations: April 15 Bushell Park, Sask, where the base it, and then two commemorative Ottawa cancels. It is franked with a 36c Air Canada stamp and 1c decoy definitive, making up the 37c rate. The second is a card showing a photograph of the snowbirds on one side, and a 20th Anniversary caption on the other side. This one was sent from the USA and is franked with a 15c booklet single. Generally, the number of covers or cards produced at these air shows/events is between 500 and 1,500 covers. I do not have the information about quantities on these. These are not usually pilot signed. Net. Est. $6.
