Lot 340 Group of Communiques Related to the 1975 Alphonse Desjardins Issue

A group of official documents and communiques related to the Alphonse Desjardins issue. Desjardins established the first credit union in North America. The Federation of Quebec credit unions had designed a cachet for a first day cover related to this issue and we offer that in the first day covers section. However, they also produced a press release and a booklet containing a biography for Desjardins. These are included, along with two press releases from Canada Post in French, two copies of a speech, a map of Levis, Quebec and a black and white photograph of the approved stamp design.
