Lot 34 Canada #106iv 2c Rosine (Orange Red) King George V, 1911-1928 Admiral Issue, A Superb NH Jumbo Margin Example With 2016 CPES Certificate

A truly gorgeous one in a million NH bottom sheet margin example of the scarce aniline shade from from a wartime printing. Amazing jumbo margins and centering that has been graded as 98 J by the Canadian philatelic expertising service. The certificate refers to this as the orange red shade. However we are of the opinion that it is more of a rosine color. This example has the retouch frame line in the upper right spandrel. 2023 Unitrade catalog value is $210 for a very fine example. An example like this with its large margins is worth a lot more given its scarcity. The stamp offered here grades 98-J as follows:

Centering/Margins: 68/70

Paper Freshness: 5/5

Colour: 5/5

Impression: 5/5

Absence of Visible Paper Flaws: 5/5

Perforations: 10/10
