Lot 336 Canada #968ii 30c Multicoloured Rowing Competition, 1982 Henley Regatta Issue, A VFNH Single, Scarce F5/F5 Paper (Actually NF-fl Deep Blue With Sparse LF&MF Fibres)

A VFNH single of the 30c multicoloured Rowing Competition from the 1982 Henley Regatta Issue. Scarce F5/F5 paper (actually NF-fl deep blue with sparse LF & MF fibres). This paper is actually NF-fl, but contains enough LF and MF fibes to make the paper read as F5 overall. All the other LF4's or F5's glow bluish white under UV. This is the only example I had where the ambient fluorescence was below LF.

Unitrade only lists one paper variety on this issue, being the F paper. In reality there are many variations. Not all are equally common, and we only ever found two of this one. Our best estimate of the value, based on what similar listed paper varieties sell for is $10. The stamp offered here grades 80 as follows:

Centering/Margins: 50/70

Paper Freshness: 5/5

Colour: 5/5

Impression: 5/5

Absence of Visible Paper Flaws: 5/5

Perforations: 10/10
