A VG-VF used example of the 1d rose carmine & carmine from the 1884-1901 Queen Victoria Keyplate Issue. Wmk Crown CA, SON November 3, 1901 Lagos CDS's, scarce multiple. The third stamp from the left has a vertical crease and the right stamp is nearly detached, being attached only along the bottom third. Still, this is an attractive and scarce multiple, as I can only recall seeing one other multiple of comparable size in used condition. This was likely paying double the 3d rate or was used in place of a 6d stamp. From the relatively low amount of plate wear in the hair and chignon, it looks like a plate 2 printing from 1900 or 1901.
